A nostalgic classical piano night.
Dit concert combineert twee uitersten: de wereld van kinderlijke onschuld en het geweld van oorlog. Aan de ene kant staat de onschuld centraal met Mozarts levendige sonate en Tsjaikovski’s Album pour enfants. Daartegenover staat de Zevende sonate van Prokofjev, geschreven in 1942 als onderdeel van zijn Oorlogstrilogie. De Oekraïense pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk, die zelf de betekenis van oorlog kent, maakt met dit diepgaande programma zijn debuut in de serie Piano van het Muziekgebouw.
