Curious about DJing and ready to try it Yourself? This beginner-friendly workshop is Your first real step behind the decks. In 90 minutes, DNA. Member CZECH STRINGS — a multi-genre DJ with 10+ years of experience — walks You through everything You need to know to make Your first mix. No prior knowledge of DJing, music theory, or equipment is required. The session starts with the essentials: what a DJ actually does, what their role is, and how it all comes together. From there, CZECH STRINGS explains the gear using the decks available at the spot as a live example, applicable to any DJ setup You might encounter in the future. You will learn the core technical skills needed for Your first transition: Beatmatching, Cueing, and Track structure and phrasing. The teaching happens live from behind the DJ decks. You can follow from Your seat or gather around and watch up close. CZECH STRINGS demonstrates everything on Electronic Music, but can switch to any other genre on request. The techniques taught apply to all rhythmic music. A part of the session is dedicated to hands-on practice. You will get the chance to step up to the decks and try it Yourself.
