Nocturne II
A slow-burn, underground choral night.
Simon-Pierre Bestion and Ensemble La Tempête present an imaginary Paschal liturgy, a nocturnal journey through beauty and spirituality. This composite ritual explores the three days preceding Easter, stripping away artifice to find raw emotion. The programme weaves together medieval notation, Renaissance polyphony, and 20th-century synthesis. At its heart lies Frank Martin's Mass for Double Choir, gaining new power when juxtaposed with ancient lamentations, responsories, and psalms.
