Playing with Fire: Yuja Wang

Experience a unique musical and visual world featuring a virtual piano performance by world-renowned pianist Yuja Wang. This immersive event combines surrealistic animations and spatial audio with a precise acoustic recreation of Yuja’s performance using Steinway Spirio self-playing technology, synchronised with her digital avatar. The programme, personally selected by Yuja, explores the theme of fire as a spark of human imagination, moving from the light of Bach to the revolutionary energy of Stravinsky and Prokofiev. The experience is enhanced by the artistic collaboration of director Pierre-Alain Giraud and artist Gabríela Friðriksdóttir, and includes Yuja sharing personal reflections on her journey from China to the global stage.
