Το project «τροπικότητας από-ηχοι» είναι ένα δημιουργικό εγχείρημα από τον Γιώργο Παππά και τον Παναγιώτη Σδούκο, εστιασμένο στην έρευνα και την επιτέλεση της ελληνικής παραδοσιακής μουσικής και των παραδόσεων της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου. Οι δύο καλλιτέχνες παρουσιάζουν διασκευές παραδοσιακών τραγουδιών και πρωτότυπες συνθέσεις όπου τα παραδοσιακά νυκτά όργανα (ούτι, λαούτο, μαντολίνο) και η φωνή συνομιλούν με το πιάνο. Δομικά συστατικά της τροπικής μουσικής (μακάμ) συναντούν ρυθμούς της ελληνικής παράδοσης και τη δυτική αρμονία, ιχνηλατώντας post folk και ethnic μονοπάτια.
