Mandingo Ambassadors perform traditional Manding melodies and 1970s Guinean afropop at Barbes. Tickets on Mood.
Guinean guitarist Mamady Kouyate leads the Mandingo Ambassadors in their long-running residency. Carrying forward the musical traditions of his griot heritage and his years with the legendary Bembeya Jazz, Kouyate blends traditional Manding melodies with the electric afrocentric pop sounds of 1970s Guinea.
