A nostalgic, underground opera night.
The Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine concludes its season with a powerful collective performance. The program features the French premiere of Joseph Swensen's 'Mahler in Manhattan', a work imagining Gustav Mahler in the restless atmosphere of 1911 New York, and Mahler's own 'The Song of the Earth', a profound meditation on nature inspired by Chinese poetry. This final symphonic event brings together local amateur orchestras and the ONBA under the direction of Joseph Swensen.
