Death from Above 1979 is a Canadian punk rock duo from Toronto. Formed in 2001, the group features Jesse F. Keeler on bass and backing vocals alongside Sebastien Grainger on lead vocals and drums. The band gained significant recognition with their 2004 debut album, 'You're a Woman, I'm a Machine'. After a hiatus starting in 2006, during which Grainger pursued other musical projects, the duo reunited in 2011. They have since released new material including the single 'Trainwreck 1979' and the album 'The Physical World', continuing to bring their heavy, high-energy performance to the stage.
