Award-winning trumpet player Dave Adewumi leads a performance and jam session. A composer and educator influenced by legendary black improvisers, Adewumi's work blends past traditions with forward-thinking exploration of the human experience. Mentored by greats like Ralph Alessi and Wynton Marsalis, he was the first jazz musician to receive the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship and won first prize in the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition. The night features a performance set followed by a late-night jam session.
