Parallax Brass
An exclusive, underground free jazz night.
Mount Wilson Observatory presents the third Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome of its 2026 season. The audience is invited to experience the brass quintet Parallax Brass performing Bernstein’s “Suite from West Side Story” and other works inside the magnificent vaulted dome of the historic 100-inch telescope. The members of Parallax Brass are highly active freelance musicians in Southern California, performing across nearly every genre. Their repertoire for this performance includes classic works by Bach and Bernstein adapted for brass quintet, reflecting a deep interest in music that spans a wide range of emotions. Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan curates the series, which features two identical one-hour performances with an artist reception held in between.
