TETTIX: Five Paths
An underground, slow-burn classical night.
The TETTIX ensemble presents a programme focused on real and invented places explored through memory and imagination. Curated by Ioannis Angelakis as part of the Contemporary Music Days festival at the Greek National Opera's Alternative Stage, this performance features five distinct works mapping the ensemble's journey since 2017. The programme includes Nikos Galenianos' allegory of paradise, Yannis Kyriakides' musical reflection on 1950s life in Dourgouti, and Michalis Paraskakis' exploration of confined sensations. Additionally, Elena Ralli investigates communication between musicians and space, while Jani Christou’s settings of T.S. Eliot's poetry offer a self-sarcastic look at the past.
