The Hectet is the melodious jazz project of Hector McLachlan, a pianist, composer, and producer. For their London debut, they present an exclusive set featuring a unique line-up of Wellington-scene musicians now based in the city. McLachlan's creative practice is rooted in deep listening and historical materialism, blending acoustic and electronic elements to conjure forces of history and emotion through heraldic melodies. McLachlan has produced several albums, including 'French Politics' (2026) and 'Here Comes The Hectet' (2025). As a session musician, he has toured internationally with acts like The Teskey Brothers and Revulva, performing at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Montreux Jazz Festival.
