Beirut, the long-running project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Zach Condon, combines indie folk, orchestral pop and global influences to create an unmistakably timeless and intimate sound. Since his acclaimed debut "Gulag Orkestar" (2006), Condon has been creating multi-layered soundscapes characterized by wanderlust and self-reflection. With "A Study of Losses" (2025), an 18-track work inspired by Judith Schalansky, Beirut expands their palette to include choral, ambient and early music elements while maintaining their characteristic melodic warmth. The album explores themes of transience and the fragile beauty of memory.
