An underground, raw kurdish folk night.
Ustad Noor Bakhsh is a master of the Balochi benju, a unique zither-like instrument with typewriter keys, originating from the Japanese taishogoto. Having played since the age of 12, his repertoire spans influences from the Arab Peninsula, Iran, Pakistan, and India. After decades of performing at weddings and as an accompanist for Balochi singer Sabzal Sami, Noor Bakhsh gained international recognition in his 70s through social media and a documentary by musician Daniyal Ahmed highlighting his virtuosity.
