An underground, slow-burn musique concrète night.
Center, Leof. Andrea Siggrou 364, Kallithea 176 74, Greece
A piano recital exploring the musical landscape of the Mediterranean through the works of Giorgos Koumendakis. The performance weaves a narrative where nature, memory, and soundscape coexist in a continuous dialogue, centered on Koumendakis' cycle Mediterranean Desert. The program features animals, plants, and organic elements of the Mediterranean environment transformed into musical forms. The performance also engages with landmark works of the piano tradition by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, and Domenico Scarlatti, concluding with a contemporary piece by Gérard Pesson to place the experience in a modern European reflective context.
