Richard ‘Richie’ Hawtin is a pivotal English-born Canadian musician known for his significant contributions to Detroit techno's second wave and his work as Plastikman. Throughout his nearly three-decade career, he has become a leading figure in minimal techno. Hawtin has lived in major electronic music hubs like New York and Berlin, and his achievements include a commissioned piece for the 2006 Winter Olympics and the development of his M_nus label. He is also the creator of the Ibiza club night series ENTER. and has performed at prestigious venues like the Guggenheim Museum.
