The New York-based avant-garde jazz metal trio Imperial Triumphant explores American decadence through a unique blend of extreme metal and dissonant jazz. Formed by Zachary Ezrin, Steve Blanco, and Kenny Grohowski, the masked group draws inspiration from the chaotic energy and monumental architecture of New York City. Opening the night is Knoll, an ensemble that creates a macabre, subtractive musical experience rooted in funeral traditions and the archaic custom of mourning bells. Their work is a lecture on dilapidated language and the preservation of antiquity within the formless ghost of music.
