The Bucharest International Conducting Competition is a prestigious event for emerging conductors. This edition features a series of rounds leading to a Winners' Award Gala Concert at the Romanian Athenaeum. Participants will conduct the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra through a repertoire of Giuseppe Verdi, W.A. Mozart, Richard Wagner, Sergei Rachmaninov, and Johannes Brahms. The competition includes masterclasses and multiple selection rounds judged by an international jury. Soloists for the gala include pianist Eva Garet. The event aims to discover and promote musical talent on an international stage, providing winners with the opportunity to lead professional orchestral performances.
