Ledisi
Ledisi Anibade Young is an American R&B singer and songwriter from New Orleans. Raised in a musical household, she began performing with the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra at age eight. After studying piano and opera at UC Berkeley, she led the jazz and hip-hop group Anibade. Ledisi launched her solo career independently with the album Soulsinger: The Revival in 2000. She later signed with Verve Records, releasing the Grammy-nominated Lost & Found in 2007. Her career highlights include the commercially successful Pieces of Me and her 2014 album The Truth. Known for her powerful soul vocals and authentic stage presence, she remains a standout artist in modern R&B and jazz.
