Kanahi Yamashita

The Brooklyn Classical Guitar Society hosts classical guitarist Kanahi Yamashita for her New York City debut recital at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Born in Nagasaki and based in Berlin, Yamashita began performing internationally at an early age alongside her father Kazuhito Yamashita. A distinguished graduate of the University of the Arts Berlin and the Nuremberg University of Music, she has performed worldwide as an orchestral soloist, chamber musician, and recitalist, earning accolades including the German Guitar Prize and the 35th Idemitsu Music Award.
