Raps 4 N*ggas Who Read Books: Vol. 1

South Central's own Def Sound invites you to celebrate the release of their first official mixtape at the legendary dublab headquarters. In an era when everything feels like an ad or AI, the mixtape is an act of active resistance to the exploitation perpetuated by the current streaming service model. R4NWRB is the first volume in a series of Post-Gangsta Political Mixtapes, born out of a weekly writing group that allowed Def to tap into the essence of practice over product. The evening features a listening session of the sonic collage, a Q&A session with Jason E.C. Wright, and concludes with a book swap where attendees are encouraged to bring a book to get a book.
