New Zealand indie rock heroes The Beths return with their latest album, 'Straight Line Was A Lie'. Recorded in their hometown of Auckland and written in Los Angeles, this release follows the critically acclaimed 2022 LP 'Expert in A Dying Field'. Lead singer and songwriter Liz Stokes explores themes of progress, health, and family dynamics, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences including The Go-Go's, Olivia Rodrigo, and cinema legend Akira Kurosawa. The album marks a deeply observational and poetic chapter for the band.
