Pansy Division is a gay pop-punk group formed in San Francisco in 1991. While gay musicians have existed throughout the history of rock music, Pansy Division was one of the first bands to be so openly and boldly vocal about their identity. Founded by guitarist and singer Jon Ginoli, the group became a cornerstone of the queercore movement.
