In their fall concert, the Kammerchor Sono97 juxtaposes excerpts from Philippe Hersant’s “Tristia” (2016)—set to texts by French prisoners—with Renaissance and Early Baroque vocal works by composers including Lassus, Monteverdi, Tallis, Dowland, and Wilbye. The concert features both a cappella selections and pieces accompanied by lute and cello, exploring themes of light, confinement, and time.
