BEING HEUMANN is a rousing true-story protest film that honors Judy Heumann and the ongoing fight for basic human rights for people with disabilities. It’s a crowd-pleaser, as broad as broad can be, but told with tremendous sincerity and the utmost respect for its subjects. The decision to cast disabled actors in these roles gives them a meaningful platform to shine, with Ruth Madeley most of all in the emotionally charged role of Judy Heumann. Inspiring and heartfelt, it’s the kind of movie you could show the whole family, as long as everyone can tolerate all the foul language.Check out Nadia Dalimonte’s full review on NextBestPicture.com here
