Typical precode mess. One where adultery is fun and they build the whole scenario off of that, trying to fix the the problems the fun made. Can't say it manages to stand-out, or feel very significant.
George Morris constantly lies to his wife, Helen, to hide his escapades. As he is about to leave his wife, some guests arrives, including Paul Wilcox, who is in love with Helen. By the end of the party, however, George and Helen have reconciled yet again. Soon after, George meets Joan Whitley and loses a lighter which his wife has given him; Whitley drives off with it. When Helen throws a party, Joan, who is an old friend of Helen, arrives. When Helen introduces Joan to George, they pretend not to know each other. George pleads with Joan to return his lighter. She agrees to meet him later in the library and if he is nice to her she will give him back the lighter.

A not especially entertaining comedy about an on-again/off-again married couple and the potential alternative partners who keep coming between them. It doesn't solve the problem of divorce as a comedy subject, which is that it isn't all that funny when people are constantly yelling and bickering with one another. James Hall and Irene Delroy are fine, I guess, but they really don't show a ton of personality beyond their shrill, one-dimensional portrayals. The screenplay tries to get into briefly wacky territory but just comes off as belabored. It's the epitome of a disposable film. It only survives as a blurry print made for 1950s television now, which is sad, but truthfully it isn't a great loss. • RANKED! — 1930
This showed up randomly on YouTube, apparently not on TV since 70s, for the life of me can’t figure out why. It’s delightful fluff, Hall and Delroy as married couple about to split due to suspected shenanigans. The misunderstandings had me cackling. Moorhead totally in her element as schemer, delivering every line with a villainous smirk. Delroy a nice cute presence, surprised her career so short. Cody’s drunk friend had its moments, but wore a bit thin by the end.
