so incredibly gorgeous. empathetic without being melodramatic or losing any of its realism. savanah leaf is gonna be huge, there were moments that had me in awe at her craft and ability to translate such raw feeling. i love films that feel this tender. kelsey lu went crazy
Something really special. I feel like the way this decides to show instead of telling the narrative is a fitting choice. The score was phenomenal and the acting was incredibly realistic. At times I felt like it slipped into documentary in a good way. So many moments feel almost too real in a way. I’m enthralled by the entire aesthetic of the movie. Many of the shots feel very intentional and choices with writing feel incredibly nuanced. I feel like the way the last forty minutes went was incredibly unexpected in a great way. It’s bleak at times but the hope within that ending is just golden. If you’re a fan of movies that center their protagonists in almost documentarian like fashion then this movie might be for you. I really wish more people were talking about this. Just stunning.
