An absolutely fascinating and funny doc about Lloyd Kaufman and the creation of the almighty Troma. Tons of awesome footage and funny interviews and old stories. If you’re into Troma at all or B movies in general this is a very enjoyable watch

This was quite a good documentary about Troma Films, the independent film company that’s been making movies since the early 70s. Of course, your enjoyment of this piece will depend on your tolerance for Troma and Lloyd Kaufman. If it just isn’t your thing or you find these movies obnoxious, then you’re probably going to want to avoid this. I’ve been interested in Troma since I first saw the original Toxic Avenger as a kid, so this was right up my alley. It made me want to watch some of the films I’d missed. I was really surprised that no mention was made of Mother’s Day, Troma’s first horror movie and their first really successful film (and my personal favorite). The doc also could have been tightened up a little bit. Some of the more recent movies they talked about after Poultrygeist probably could have been skipped over, haha. But overall, this was a good overview of Troma and Kaufman’s career.
