i really love this one. it has such strong themes of independence, belonging, and identity, and so many good messages that really hit deep. the representation is handled with so much authenticity and care, and the relationship between mother and daughter feels so real and heartfelt. the stylistic choices are beautifully executed, making it a truly emotionally resonant and memorable experience.Heartland Film Festival 2025 Film #3

Get the tissues ready team this one is meant to make you feel something. It’s impressive to me in so many ways when a film can completely and utterly put you in a world where every single character feels like a person that is rich with history and meaning. What’s so lovely about this film is the nature in which it visually approaches it’s story. Every character feels like they have their moment to shine in the most authentic way possible. It’s a rich adventure of belonging, grief, compassion and friendship. And more importantly where those things are found in the most unconventional of places. When it comes down to it, it’s a story about people who are struggling with the different aspects of living, all while doing their absolute best. It’s everything good art should be.
