One night, Mrs. Thuy’s ear-splitting karaoke pushes the entire neighborhood to the brink of insanity. But when she is suddenly murdered during a mountain pilgrimage, everyone becomes a suspect. Enter Tam - a young woman with a shady past - who is forced to take matters into her own hands. A rollercoaster of clues and tragicomic situations soon exposes the town's hidden secrets, from blind superstitions and bitter grudges to hilariously conflicting testimonies. As the elusive killer prepares to strike again, Tam must race against time to unmask the culprit before she becomes the next victim.

I went into this COMPLETELY blind. I knew it started at a time I liked, and had a runtime I liked. And I had a really fun time! A very unserious murder mystery that took me on an enjoyable ride.I was alone in my theater, my edibles were working and I had some great snacks. So be aware, I was maybe a little bewitched by the overall movie going experience here, and it is probably making my score generous. But idc. 🔪 🎤🎶Spooky Season 2026 35/31
Maybe it's just a cultural thing, but man, all that Asian flailing and overacting really got on my nerves again. It's not every day you see a Vietnamese “whodunit” in the movies, and now you know why. The resolution is also horribly unrealistic. It's a shame about the few good scenes.
WAITTTTT I KINDA LOVE THIS =)))))))?????I know this film might try so hard to be funny and did not really deliver the “mảng miếng” but that last 30 mins got me locked fuck in like IT WAS SO FUN AND SO GOODDDDD, love the sound deéign and cinematography in it, love the acting, the whole cast lowk goat (heavy on Quỳnh Lý, Đoàn Thiên Ân & Đại Nghĩa). Holy shit wait this is so funnnnnnnnn (I’m def biased)
