Since he was a child, Orpheus has imagined stories about an abandoned villa across the street from his house. style over substance gigantesco delizioso. expressionism meets argento, the silents meet lynch, romanticism meets svankmajer etc etc - a pity seeing so much passion and work (the production design, the animations) put into a project like this, but then having no narrative concept that dares something, plus underachieving actors executing mediocrity in such a wonderful filmic environment. like working your ass off but having forgot to clock in.
