THE DEAD PLACE - Red Carpet Theatrical Premiere + Q&A w/ David Howard Thornton, writer/director Michael Pickle, Producers James Rivera and Jeremy Lee Dickson, and many of the major cast hosted by Anastasia ElfmanEvent started late, so actually saw the pre-Q&A and then had to head home to give the dogs their meds, but thankfully, could watch it on Bloodstream.Supernatural teen creeper tale with a fun DHT performance that's an almost surprising "character bit" sort of thing, which is a really entertaining choice for this. The rest of the movie stays grounded, and that makes David's stuff extra uncanny and creepy.Good performances all around and our bud, Robert Bravo (worked with him on Craving and he did FX on A Hard Place, which I helped write), does cool SFX stuff as well. (There's actually a few seconds of Craving footage that we shot playing on a TV near the end! A fun surprise!)Q&A hinted that there are ideas for two more. Send them my way.
Kind of want a prequel of all the shenanigans than the new kid got up to before death.
