This Mack Sennett all-star comedy short certainly has it's moments, but regardless of how many make an cameo appearance in this one, it's still just a standard slapstick comedy filled with gags that's featured in nearly every comedy of it's kind. But still cool to see the boss himself throwing the "cat" out of his office!
A short packed with more stars and gags than most features of its day, this film delivered a gaggle of guffaws!

I've had a reprint of the poster hanging on my daughter's bedroom wall for a few years. Great artwork, but I had never sought out the film itself. Thanks to the Dave Glass reconstruction on YouTube, cut together from 17 sources, I've been able to take a look at much of what the film intended. The title is misleading, as the "kid" of the movie is barely in the film/ This is more about his yokel parents running amuck at Mack Sennett Studios. really, the film is more of a sales tool for Sennett, featuring many of his stars in cameos, as well as his impressively huge spinning backdrop carousel. The kid is cute enough, and I assume he was positioned to be the next Jackie Coogan, but his career ended up consisting of only a handful of films over a couple of years.Thee are a few small chuckles but the plot is scarce and pretty scattershot.
