they should have made the film about dick miller eating flowers
A rather silly and charming comedy balancing on the edge of farce and black humor. The characters are all charismatic and bright, especially Gravis Mushnik. Some episodes are really funny. The outdoor scenes look great, especially the running across the giant tires. In essence, it’s a completely potboiler, but one executed with talent and a light touch. Jack Nicholson’s role is absolutely idiotic, but there’s something to it.
A clumsy florist shop worker creates a strange plant that requires human blood to survive, leading to a series of chaotic crimes.
Roger Corman directed the 1960 horror-comedy, famously shooting it on a micro-budget in just a couple of days.
