Ira Sachs movies look so great in pink. That pink sweater specifically is unbelievable, does for this what the mesh top did for Passages. I liked Rami but hard not to think about how Franz Rogowski would’ve eaten this up. Finally a “billiards” tag movie in Cannes, and in one of my favorite scenes of the fest
admired this more than i was affected by it, but that's still practically a rave considering my allergy to Rami Malek (which is further aggravated here, alas). i liked the bit where he sings that one song in full, but need to stress that anyone misled into thinking this is a *musical* is in for a major disappointment.
