Like a recently poor bitcoin NFT bro on Twitter defending Elon Musk.This very problematic story of a spoiled rich kid who tells his dad he wants 'that' for his birthday, when 'that' refers to a grown man working a minimum wage job and living below the poverty line in a less-favorable Parisian suburb.But don't worry, the story isn't about the wealthy living off the backs of the workers. No, the whole story is based on this North African slave sacrificing his self esteem for the well-being of richest / whitest man in France and his son.The plotline was embarrassing enough when the original film was made in 1976, but for someone to think it was a good idea to remake this aberration in the current social / political climate is indefensible.
