Como paraguayo, me resulta imposible ver Bajo las banderas, el sol sin tener la sensación de estar viendo una película de metraje encontrado de horror. Cada imagen y sonido me provocaron escalofríos, a pesar de haber nacido una década después de la caída del régimen; tal vez se deba a que el fantasma de la dictadura todavía acecha sobre el Paraguay y sus gobernantes. Pero la importancia de la película radica no solo en recordarnos los horrores del pasado, sino también en motivarnos a combatir las amenazas a la democracia y a la libertad, en el presente y en el futuro.
Hasta la ausencia de archivos habla por sí solo, al revelar con silencios y música lo que hasta la fecha se quiere e intenta borrar.Qué regalo tan hermoso y valioso el de Juanjo para nuestro país..
