Took my breath away. Really potent metaphor in terms of making breast milk so hard to acquire, it drills home what a large hole has been left in Latif's family and heart. Good to have Mahershala Ali back from Blade Purgatory
Latif, a devoutly religious hitman, struggles to balance work, faith and fatherhood. When his wife dies, he embarks on a desperate journey across Houston to protect his children, confronting the forces closing in around him – and the beliefs threatening to unravel within.

What a profound and monumental contribution to Muslim and Pakistani cinema. I’m so overwhelmed with pride right now. This is a film that doesn’t simply entertain, but expands the very possibilities for South Asian storytelling. Man oh man mark my words, Bassam Tariq is one of the greats. His voice will endure. And we are fortunate to witness the rise of a truly landmark filmmaker. (Also if you haven’t seen Mogul Mowgli yet, do yourself a favour!!)
It feels so good to watch Mahershala Ali in a real movie again
The film follows a religious hitman who struggles to reconcile his faith and professional life while racing to protect his children after the death of his wife.
The film is directed by Bassam Tariq, a filmmaker known for his work in independent drama.
The film stars Mahershala Ali as the lead, supported by John Cho, Giancarlo Esposito, Abubakr Ali, and Tramell Tillman.
