A gritty adventure.
Teppei and Kamiya, two average joes working in the electronic services industry, stumble upon the intergalactic bounty-hunter Ilia, and her partner, the artificial intelligence named Bob. Both men are accidentally transported to the Zone, a virtual reality in which Bob has trapped Ilia's latest prey, a biological weapon named Zeiram. The Earth natives must both survive the experience and help Ilia capture Zeiram before the Zone disappears around them.

Pure monster-fighting bliss, with a sprinkling of nasty body horror moments throughout. The grainy, black and white opening sequence instantly hooks you in. Zeiram itself is one of the best monster designs in movie history, with as many evolving forms as a particularly difficult JRPG boss. I want to see Zeiram fight Nemesis.

Two doofuses accidentally get transported to an alternate dimension and have to try to stave off a creepy Power Rangers™ monster until a badass cutie is able to fix her transporter and save them.Okay, this was extremely my jam! The story isn't anything special, but you quickly become invested because the characters are so endearing and fun.The monster looked really vicious, and the practical effects are absolutely top-notch (the stop-motion work is super impressive).I can't wait to check the sequel out.
