Paul Hittscher was an actor best recognized for his supporting role in Werner Herzog's acclaimed 1982 feature Fitzcarraldo. He also appeared in documentary features chronicling the tumultuous production of the film, including Burden of Dreams. Hittscher passed away in Iquitos, Peru, in 1992.
