Amaury Faye
Amaury Faye is a French pianist and composer acclaimed as one of the leading voices of his generation. A multiple award-winner — including First Prize at Jazz à Vienne / Rezzo Focal and Best Soloist at Tremplin Jazz d’Avignon — he has forged a distinctive sound at the crossroads of jazz, classical and contemporary music. With six albums as a leader or co-leader and around twenty recordings as a sideman, Faye has built a rich and versatile discography. He has performed extensively across Europe, Asia and the Americas, appearing at major international festivals and on some of the world’s most prestigious stages. His 2024 project ARISE {suite} — featuring his trio, New York saxophonist Julian Lee, and a string quartet from the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse — earned him recognition as a Revelation 2024 by All About Jazz and an Artist to Watch 2024 by Jazz News / Jazz Magazine. In 2025, Faye returns with RUST, a new album recorded in New Orleans with Julian Lee, bassist Amina Scott, and the legendary Groovemaster Herlin Riley on drums — to be released on November 14, 2025.
