99 Neighbors
99 Neighbors is one of today’s premier indie and alternative rap groups that built a reputation for pushing boundaries in rap by promoting inclusivity, self-love, and creative exploration. The group all connected in 2018 in their native Burlington, Vermont, and has been performing and releasing music since 2019 with their debut album Television and 2021’s follow-up, Wherever You’re Going I Hope It’s Great. 99 Neighbors are Sam “Maari” Paulino (he/him), Hank “HANKNATIVE” Collins (he/him), Nadia Nygaard Osby (they/she), Connor “conswank” Stankevich (he/him), Caleb Hoh (he/him), Julian “Anteneh” Segar-Reid (he/him), and Jared Fier (he/him). 2019’s Television was met largely with positive acclaim, while its 2021 follow-up Wherever You’re Going I Hope It’s Great was praised by Lyrical Lemonade, HOTNEWHIPHOP, Ones To Watch and more. Now, the collective started its own independent label, 99 Records, as an avenue to release various side projects, including Black Knot, a forthcoming collaborative project between members Maari, Anteneh, and “Static” collaborator, WAHID.
