The Brazilian Samba and brass ensemble "A Panda do Sol" started its musical journey in 2016. The band has been composing its own Sambas and blending them to the musical & cultural background of each musician, creating a unique language on a base of traditional Brazilian percussions. A Panda do Sol gathers today six musicians from Brazil, France, Italy and Russia, all living in Berlin, Germany. The band's first album "Fôlego" portrays the beginning of their musical path and forecasts compositions about nature, love and death, in the image of the first Sambistas of the era, joining poetry and rhythm. It was recorded together with friend, singer and lyricist Natasha Simon Safir and released in September 2019. Their second album "Homenagem" is a direct hommage to some of the composers who gave birth to the roots of Samba music. Recorded in Berlin in the winter of 2020, it was released under the label "Sungroove Records" in May 2022. They are now working on their new release "Nossa Poesia" with sound magician Caê Rolfsen (Ori Lab, Sao Paulo) which will be released in 2026.
