Alex Bryson is a singer, pianist and song writer, leading a swinging trio with a unique show of original songs. Alex’s songs are a catalogue of romantic misadventures full of humour, poignancy and, at times, outright zaniness. Alex Bryson trained as a classical pianist, but much of his teenage years were spent learning songs by ear from his father's record collection. His earliest musical heroes were the great American songwriters of the Great American Songbook. While studying classical music in New York, Alex Bryson became increasingly immersed in the city's jazz scene, spending more and more time with jazz musicians and in jazz clubs. It was during this period that he began writing his first songs and developed an interest in singing. Returning to London with the ambition of becoming a jazz pianist, he went on to perform with many outstanding musicians at renowned venues including Ronnie Scott's and the 606 Club. Joined by the rhythm section he considers the finest he knows — Asaph Tal on bass and Joe Dessauer on drums — Alex Bryson presents a collection of music that aims to entertain, amuse, and move its audience.
