AMR
A polished techno artist.
Inspired by the nihilistic lyrics and idols from the underground, AMR isn’t trying to be a pioneer of what has been done. With influences from self-made collectives such as All But 6 and GREY59, AMR pays homage to their unique sound while giving his own. AMR grew up listening to New York Hip-Hop thanks to his father. He would listen to artists such as DMX, KRS-One, Freddie Foxxx, and many more Aundre would listen to at a young age, furthering his influence. This music would inspire singles such as “SWITCHBLADE” or STRAIGHT STEPPIN' with experimental flows followed by the familiar sound of old school boom-bap. This is followed up as well with “FLIP THE SWITCH”, which is a nonstop force of aggression reflected from what was. Aundre first got a good look at the underground was when listening to City Morgue in his early high school years. This would further push his findings to other underground rappers such as Pouya, $uicideboy$, Freddie Dredd and all those surrounding them. This would inspire his EP titled SALTS with each track paying homage to those artists. He wouldn’t stop there, immediately following up with singles such as Born N Raised (Florida Boy), HOCKEY PUCK and other songs dropping frequently. AMR after a small hiatus, came back with the release of MANIAC, an album showcasing his artistry with a hard intro track SAY IT to the maniacle punch of ELIMIN8, to the soft guitars on clouds.
