Andrei Irimia

Pianist and composer Andrei Irimia feels and creates music in an intimate connection with other arts. He is fascinated by how minimalistic piano music can generate spaces for introspection in the deepest corners of the human soul. His music reaches deep within, evoking feelings that linger. As inspiration for his music, Andrei uses the magical beauty of nature and the kaleidoscope of human emotions. Melancholy is a constant in his music. He believes this is the gateway to a deeper knowing of the self. The constant remembrance of childhood, with its never-ending curiosity, is a source of Andrei’s creativity. His music expresses love, caress, and empathy, but also shows sorrow, grief, and suffering. It does so sincerely and authentically. Since he was very young, Andrei has found that the piano’s melodic chords let him express his deepest feelings. They also let him communicate with the world in a deep and meaningful way. As a child, he was fascinated by the performing arts and how they can impact us through our senses. This fascination became the foundation of his core philosophy about music and the creative process. His first solo album, “Nuit Minimaliste” (2019), is a tribute to French minimalist piano music. In 2022, he reached an important milestone in his career with the release of his second album, “All Strings Attached“. For 2024 Andrei is planning to release his third album, called “Necessary End”.
