Angela Rose

Angela Rose is an independent artist and songwriter from Wonnarua Country/Maitland, NSW, whose emotive melodies and captivating vocals have carved out a distinctive place in the Australian music scene. Blending alt-country warmth with indie pop shimmer, she crafts songs rich in raw emotion and honest storytelling. Angela’s talent has been recognised by some of Australia’s most celebrated musicians. In 2024, she was hand-picked by Angus Stone and Julia Stone for the Wild Turkey Music 101 Mentorship Program, with the duo praising her artistry and lyricism. In 2023, she was invited by Kasey Chambers to participate in an artist workshop at The Rabbit Hole recording studio. Her debut EP, Late Bloomer, earned support from Triple J and community radio and won the Triple J Unearthed x NIDA Music Video Competition for its title track. On stage, Angela toured with Ball Park Music on their Like Love Tour in 2025 and has shared stages with King Stingray, Adam Newling, Gretta Ray, Mia Wray, Betty Taylor, Tyne-James Organ and Greta Stanley. She has also performed at Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster and Deniliquin Ute Muster. A recipient of the prestigious Sound NSW Contemporary Music Development Grant, Angela is currently working on her sophomore EP, due for release early 2027. The project sees the rising songwriter delve deeper into her folk and country roots, further cementing her place as one of Australia’s most compelling emerging artists.
