A homegrown, underground punk rock act.
Tracks5
Utrecht, the Netherlands based Jangle-punk band Apeshit, takes a playful twist on punk. Driven by furious guitar riffs, catchy hooks, snarling vocals, and danceable bass lines, the band has a sound that sits between alternative rock, post-punk and garage rock, without losing its raw punk edge. Following the release of their debut EP, various singles, and a track on the punk compilation album “Uitholling Bovenlangs,” the band is releases their debut album “Life! On TV” on the 4th of September 2026. The album was released in cooperation with Dutch record labels: Excelsior recordings and Plato Utrecht records. “Life! On TV” is packed with punk, post-punk, and Britpop-esque songs that are filled with infectious guitar riffs and urgent lyrics. The record, produced by Frans Hagenaars, reveals a mature side of the band, where both the themes of the songs and the overall atmosphere of the album become more serious, without abandoning their characteristic sense of humor. The songs on the record regard topics as hypocrisy and seeing the world burn on the TV.
