A polished, underground classical crossover artist.
Auredrá is Sofiko Tvauri, a London-based composer and cellist whose skill at translating the extraordinary range of human emotion into epic compositions has been forged by hardship and honed through virtuosity. Hers is a journey from classical performer to original composer, where discipline gives voice to the majestic, intangible transience that lies within us all. As Auredrá has developed her own voice, to speak of the things that move us the most: hardship and survival, the transient beauty of being alive, the invisible threads of meaning that hold life together when it seems that everything is falling apart. Her music is a journey of finding light in the darkest recesses of the human condition, a powerful vindication of hope in the face of despair. Auredrá’s compositions are anchored in the dark resonance of the cello, the instrument that she has devoted her life to mastering. Soaring from powerful depths to sweeping heights, the music of Auredrá transports the listener to worlds unseen that come to life in our minds, stirring emotions that unlock that most human of gifts: the imagination. Sofiko Tvauri trained at the Royal College of Music under Boyarsky and Chaushian, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master of Performance.
