Avangelia

Avangelia is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer from Brooklyn, New York. She released her full-length debut, "Angel In The Wild," in 2024. Co-produced by Avangelia and Corey Grimes album blends neo-soul, banjo-driven R&B, intricate nu-jazz rock, and folk elements, earning her recognition from music lovers around the globe. Her songs have been featured on NPR's "Tiny Desk Contest Top Shelf 2024" and TIDAL's "Alternative R&B" playlist and received praise from KCRW's Novena Carmel and founding members of Earth, Wind & Fire. Influenced by Erykah Badu, Lianne La Havas, and Hiatus Kaiyote, Avangelia weaves lush harmonies, introspective storytelling, and soulful grooves into her unique sound, which she dubs 'ethereal soul.' Believing that all music is rooted in blues and soul, Avangelia continues exploring her musical bounds, inviting listeners to embark on a deeply emotional journey--full of rich storytelling and limitless exploration. With a sound that bridges eras and genres, she creates music that feels timeless —a rehoming of sound. Avangelia is the host of The Circle Radio on Global Soul airing fortnightly in the UK featuring her circle of up and coming musicians shaping the New York Underground soul and jazz fusion scene.
